Jonathan S. Beiser was born in Takoma Park, Maryland. He attended the University of Maryland, where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1986. After receiving his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore in 1989, Mr. Beiser was admitted to the bars of Maryland, the District of Columbia and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland in 1990. Mr. Beiser is a member the Montgomery County, Maryland, Prince George’s County, Maryland and District of Columbia Bar Associations, as well as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, the Trial Lawyers’ Association of the District of Columbia and the Work Injury Law & Advocacy Group. In connection with his service on the Montgomery County Bar Association, Mr. Beiser is the Co-Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of that organization. Mr. Beiser is also a recipient of recognition from the Trial Lawyers Care Pro Bono Project for representing victims before the September 11 Victims’ Compensation Fund. He is also a past recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award. Mr. Beiser is also a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives and handles a substantial volume of Social Security Disability claims, in addition to his work in the fields of Maryland workers’ compensation, Federal Longshoremen’s & Harbor Workers’ Compensation and personal injury litigation. He has been selected by Super Lawyer Magazine as being in the top 5% of attorneys practicing workers’ compensation law in both Maryland and the District of Columbia. Mr. Beiser has regularly appeared on the Ashcraft & Gerel Legal Hour radio show on WJFK and WHFS, taking and answering calls on Maryland Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability claims. Mr. Beiser also regularly speaks before labor unions on the topic of workers’ rights in the context of job related injuries.
