L. Palmer Foret is Of Counsel to Ashcraft & Gerel, LLP. He is a native Washingtonian who attended high school in the District of Columbia. He then attended Colgate University, receiving his undergraduate degree in 1974. Mr. Foret received his law degree in 1977 from Gonzaga University School of Law.

Mr. Foret handles a wide variety of legal cases, many within the personal injury and related fields. Over his numerous years of practice he has handled a large number of cases involving individuals who have suffered serious personal injuries. These claims include medical and legal malpractice, collisions involving automobiles and trucks, police misconduct, unsafe premises, inadequate security and other cases. He also handles legal matters not involving injury, including contract disputes and various other types of litigation in which the parties have sustained substantial losses.

Mr. Foret is a past president of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington D.C. He was honored in his selection as one of “The Best Lawyers in America” and by his listing in that publication. He was also honored by Washingtonian Magazine in being named as a Washington Top Lawyer. Mr. Foret has published and presented on a wide array of legal topics. He is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia and before various Federal Courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
