In the upcoming continuing legal education (CLE) program “Contemporary Issues in Mass Torts: Applying Lessons from Talc and Beyond,” Attorney Michelle A. Parfitt will be speaking on the current and projected views of a multidistrict litigation (MDL) in relation to talc. As a senior partner at Ashcraft & Gerel, Attorney Parfitt co-manages the firm’s mass tort department along with James Green and she is currently serving as co-lead counsel in the talcum powder MDL, uniquely qualifying her to speak on the issue.
About the Event
Presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE), a division of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), the Zoom webinar will take place on January 21, 2021. Attorney Parfitt’s presentation will open the virtual event at 9 a.m.
A Surge in Talc Mass Torts
The NJICLE program will be featuring renowned trial judges, seasoned litigators, and top attorneys for the sole purpose of discussing the subject of talc-focused mass torts and how to navigate them. Considering that Attorney Parfitt has served on multiple Plaintiff’s Steering Committees and Executive Committees for national mass torts and has been met with much industry acclaim, she is a key speaker at the virtual event.
